- 1. To the best of our belief, the validity period of the two regulations of the Minister of Trade expired on December 31, 2006 and is not extended so that the kinds of non-new vehicle as contained in the attachment to the regulation could not be imported anymore as from January 1, 2007.
- 2. Nonetheless, pursuant to Letter of the Minister of Trade No. 138/M-DAG/PER/12/2006 dated December 24, 2006 on the Import of non-new motor vehicle, addressed to the Minister of Finance, in a bid to anticipate the delay in arrival of goods after December 31, 2006, the release of goods is given dispensation for two months up to February 28, 2007, proven by the date of registration of customs declaration in the form of manifest (BC.1.1.).
- 3. In relation thereto, the registration identity of types of non-new vehicle still can be issued by the Director General of Transportation Equipment and Telematics Industry as long as the imported vehicle matches the provisions as intended in point 2 and is accompanied by Certificate of Inspections Issued by surveyors in not later than December 23, 2006.
- This is for your attention and we highly appreciate your cooperation.
